Each five-day session immerses campers in the culture of a different Latino country (past picks included Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Mexico). HOLA! A PLAYGROUP IN SPANISH
This bilingual program offers full and half day Spanish immersion classes, including Yoga en Español, Exploring Cultures, music, art, story time, and plenty of outdoor play with sand, water and toys. The popular Brooklyn Heights eatery welcomes its littlest fans for arts-and-crafts, music and cooking classes. Little ones enjoy a rooftop playground, run through the sprinklers (also on the roof), learn about science and get messy with art projects. The Riverdale Presbyterian Church Nursery School Summer Camp
This nonsectarian Riverdale preschool is hosting an eclectic camp that focuses on arts and sciences. If your three-year-old is looking for playmates his own age, consider this camp. Counselors (there is one for every four campers) lead open playtime, group games, yoga, creative movement, art, music and drama, and encourage little ones to make friends. SUPER SOCCER STARS
Little ones don’t just run up and down a field chasing after balls. Divided into groups of two- and three-year-olds, and four- and five-year-olds, they learn basic skills from accomplished, college-level soccer players. Because few preschoolers can keep their attention on one subject for long, an hour of playing the beautiful game is followed by an hour of arts and crafts. Counselors at this camp escort four- and five-year-olds on excursions to Central Park every week. Other perks are the weekly “specialists” who visit from places like Art Farm and Mad Science. Young one get to do arts and crafts, cook, and have picnics. All kids participate in a weekly Shabbat celebration.
