Holiday gifts for gradeschoolers

Back in the ’70s and ’80s, schoolchildren were thrilled to unwrap Barbie dolls, Matchbox cars, board games…and maybe the rare video game for their Atari system. Life was so simple then. Today’s city kids are just as teched-out as their parents, filling their wish lists with iPods, digital cameras and BlackBerries (okay, we’re kidding about that last one—for this year, anyway).
