SinglemomsNYC The Queens-based group draws single mothers who want to network and share tips and ideas. Daily and weekly online chats address relevant topics (newly single, pregnancy, raising teenage daughters), and support-group meetings are held twice a month. (yahoo.com/group/singlemomsnyc).

YMCA Many branches of the Y offer meetings and activities for solo parents, as well as special membership rates for single-parent-headed households. Moms meet every other Thursday at the McBurney YMCA (125 W 14th St between Fifth and Sixth Aves; 212-912-2300, ymca.org).
