Description
The landmarks featured in NYBG’s wildly popular diorama—including the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty—are made entirely out of plant-based materials such as twigs, acorns and berries. New to this year’s show is a replica of the original Pennsylvania Station, a Beaux Arts building that was dismantled in the 1960s to make room for Madison Square Garden. Tickets must be purchased in advance. All ages.When

While it's clear that a lot of hard work went into the creation of this event, let's be honest, it's just an extensive collection of models of New York's architectural highlights. The walk-through experience becomes protracted as you're so closely pressed against bored children, exasperated parents, and romantic young couples. When you consider the location's inconvenience and the expense, I'm frankly amazed at the reaction this event get's from critics every year.
Wendy, I went to see the Holiday Train Show this year. The experience was wonderful. They've definitely addressed the crowd control issues. Worth visiting again, especially in twilight hours. Magical!
Not worth the time/money to get into this event!!! This event sounded like it would be a NY staple for the holidays. We had tickets for the 12:30 viewing and finally got in at 1:45, only to be in and out in five minutes. The workers are to blame for not moving the traffic along. If one person is taking a picture, the whole line halts. You would think that people would be asked to pass or that they would do it on their own. Being a true New Yorker, I had no patience for such idiotic event!
