Momofuku Ssäm Bar
Description
Fans of Asian street food love the larger spin-off of chef David Changs massively successful Momofuku Noodle Bar. Its a sleek, wood-paneled, 50-seat eatery that serves low-carb versions of ssäms, the Korean finger food Chang calls Asian burrito. Patrons order a ssäm the way they would a wrapexcept here, lettuce provides the casing and pickled shiitakes, edamame and oysters are among the choice fillings. The menu, which changes daily, often includes a kid-pleasing version with tender pork, black beans and a hint of spicy red kimchi sauce.
