Wave Hill
Description
This city-owned garden in the north Bronx retains the same horticultural traditions that it had when it was a private estate. You’ll find some of the area’s most meticulously groomed gardens, as well as stunning, sweeping views of the Hudson River and the New Jersey Palisades. Through Nov 29: The Muhheakantuck in Focus Before the Hudson River was named after the explorer who made it famous, it was called the Muhheakantuck, or “the river that flows both ways.” The work on view in this exhibit examines the legacy of Henry Hudson, and the differences in the ways that Native Americans and Dutch colonists settled around the river.
