Bronx Zoo Wildlife Conservation Society
Description
More than 4,500 creatures call this urban preserve home, including snow leopards, western lowland gorillas, naked mole rats and a frisky troop of Ethiopian gelada baboons, who raise quite a din as they frolic and fight. Ongoing: “Madagascar!” The African island comes to the Bronx in this new permanent exhibit featuring five different breeds of lemurs, a pair of Nile crocodiles, geckos, a tree boa constrictor, a colony of hissing cockroaches and a variety of other indigenous creatures.
